Last week, I met Peter in Scottsdale Arizona. There are many reasons that I am glad that I met him. One of them is this piece of advice he gave me (that he mentioned came from a Berkshire Hathaway AGM):

“Take your most productive hour of the day and use it to work on yourself”

I think that this simple advice is brilliant :-)

Best Wishes and Good Thoughts for an Abundant New Year

Nigel :-)

What a great quote. We should take at least one hour per day to enhance our potential.

Interesting… have you seen how Warren Buffett is?

Either the person who said it in the AGM meant something else, or it was meant to insult Mr. Buffett himself.

Yang - thank you for your comment. Could you expand it further please - I am not sure that I follow your idea

My comment hinges on the fact that most people have a certain assumption about successful wealthy-people, i.e. that successful people have a certain confidence and calmness as an essential part of their personality.

So, following the aforementioned assumption, Warren Buffett is more of a born-loser than a successful person because his personality is just the exact opposite of that confident and calm personality.

So when, in that Berkshire Hathaway AGM, it was mentioned that one should take one´s most productive hour to work on oneself, may be it was an oblique remark meant for Mr. Buffett himself — or at least he should take note, because frankly, given Mr. Buffett´s personality, he does not conjure confidence.

You can argue whether it is so or not, but it is a fact that each stemmer in your speech erodes a certain amount of confidence in others listening — although I find this mentality short-sighted and fallacious.
